Help bring the trails to Android.
Become a tester for Warrington Talking Trails. Explore the maps, trail tours and local landmarks, and tell us what works and what needs improving.
You’ll need an Android phone or tablet and a Google account. The app is free to test.
Join our Google Group
Open the Warrington Trails Testers group and select Join group. Sign in with your Google account if prompted.
1. Join the tester groupThis gives your account access to the closed test. Joining the group alone does not enroll you in Google Play testing.
Become a tester on Google Play
After joining the group, open the link below and select Become a tester. Look for confirmation that you’re now a tester.
2. Opt in to the Android testIf the page already says you’re a tester, you’re enrolled—continue to installation.
Install and try the app
On your Android device, follow the download link on the tester confirmation page, or open the Play Store link below. Install Warrington Talking Trails.
3. Install from Google PlayTry browsing the map, choosing a Trail Tour and exploring the Places list. You can start from home; visiting a park is optional.
Please stay enrolled for at least 14 days
Google requires at least 12 testers to remain opted in continuously for 14 days before we can apply for a public release. Keep the app installed, use it during that period and share your feedback. Please stay in the Google Group and avoid selecting “Leave the program” on Google Play while you’re testing.

Email eac.warrington@gmail.com with what you tried, any problems and suggestions. For a bug, your device model, Android version and a screenshot can help us reproduce it.
Having trouble joining?
- “App not available” or no installation button? Confirm you joined the group and completed the Google Play opt-in, using the same account in each place. Allow a little time, then try the opt-in link again.
- Can’t join the Google Group? Email us so we can check the group’s joining settings.
- Already in internal testing? Google requires you to leave the internal test before you can join the closed test. Contact us if you’re unsure which test you joined.
Already enrolled through an email invitation? You can keep testing as you are; you don’t need to leave or rejoin.
